Isle of Man Ship Registry has posted record tonnage for 2011.

Year over year, gross registered tonnage (GRT) shows a 12 precent increase in total GRT to 13.84m, putting Isle of Man among the top 15 ship registries in the world. The area that saw a particularly rapid take-up rate was the Asia Pacific region, notably Japanese and Singapore-based corporations.
